CASPA On-Demand

Get your CASPA questions answered
Can anyone use CASPA On-Demand?
To use the CASPA On-Demand service we recommend a minimum 1.5Mbps connection.
How do I create a CASPA Wallet?
You can setup your CASPA Wallet during your first TiVo activation or from your My Account Dashboard, click Register in the CASPA info box. Once you have read and agreed to the CASPA Service Terms of Use, enter your credit/debit card details and create a memorable PIN. That’s it!
How do I add funds to my CASPA Wallet?
You do not need to add funds to your CASPA Wallet when you create it. Browse around the CASPA On-Demand Service via your TiVo media device and when you find something you would like to rent you will be given the opportunity to top up your Wallet with a specific amount right then and there! Note that your credit/debit card will not be debited unless you specifically request to do so via the CASPA On-Demand interface.
If I activated my TiVo today, how long before I can start using CASPA On-Demand?
24 hours after you have activated and completed the Guided Setup, your TiVo media device will automatically update your On-Screen Guide and give you access to the CASPA On-Demand service. You will not be able to access CASPA On-Demand until this update is complete so do not attempt to use the service during the first 24 hours.
My download did not happen but the cost was deducted from my Wallet. What happened?
You can check your transaction history by logging in to My Account. Failed downloads are automatically discovered by the billing system. Refunds to your CASPA Wallet will be made within five business days.
How long do I need to wait before I can watch the download?
When the blue light at the front of your media device turns on, it means content is downloading to your TiVo. Your downloaded content can be found in your Now Playing List. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, and what else you are doing on the internet, you can begin playing your selection soon after it starts downloading. If your transfer speed is too slow, the TiVo media device will tell you how long you need to wait before attempting to play back the content.
How do I protect my kids from accessing restricted content? What Parental Controls are there?
CASPA offers titles ranging from G to MA15+ classification. If your TiVo is set in KidZone, your children will not be able to download any movies and will only be able to view G movies you have downloaded for them to watch.
If there are people under 15 in your household or at your premises, we recommend that you activate the TiVo Parental Control option to restrict access to content that is not suitable for people under 15. Parental Controls can be set by going to:
TiVo Central > Messages & Settings > Settings > Parental Controls
Why does the available content keep changing? A movie I wanted to download is not there anymore!
The CASPA catalogue is constantly refreshed and updated with new content. Due to licensing arrangements with entertainment studios, titles are also removed from the service from time to time. So if you know there’s something you want to see, don’t wait too long!
Will CASPA On-Demand use up my download data allowance?
Please consult your Internet service provider for details on your specific monthly download quota. All content available on CASPA On-Demand lists the download size so you can keep an eye on how much you download and be careful not to exceed your monthly cap. For those of you with one of our unmetered ISP partners, such as vividwireless, Apex Internet, iiNet, Internode, iPrimus or Adam Internet, downloads via CASPA On-Demand have zero impact on your monthly data allowance.
Which ISPs support the CASPA On-Demand service?
CASPA On-Demand can be accessed via any broadband Internet connection, however only customers on compatible plans with our unmetered ISP partners will enjoy the luxury of unlimited CASPA downloads to their TiVo media device with no effect on their monthly broadband cap.
* To create your CASPA Wallet, you must be over the age of 15 and you must agree to the Terms of Use of the CASPA Service.
