Connect to your online gallery and bring your photos to centre stage...
PixelEyes brings your online photos straight into your living room where you can browse through albums and play slideshows.
Getting started is easy: sign up with an online photo sharing service such as Photobucket or Picasa Web Albums and upload photos onto your account.
Now turn to your TiVo and enter the PixelEyes program, found under "Music, Photos, & Showcases" from TiVo Central. Once the program has loaded, scroll down to "My Photo Accounts" and select your online photo service. From here you can enter in your username and password, allowing your TiVo to access the contents of your online photo albums.
But don't worry, logging in and viewing your photos won't take up any precious space on your TiVo: PixelEyes doesn't save the photos to your hard drive; it merely accesses your online photos through your TiVo.
Once you have logged in, PixelEyes will remember your username and password combination for future use, making viewing your online photos easier than ever.
All logged in? Now it's time to view your photos! On the PixelEyes menu, scroll to "My Photos" option. Your available photo accounts will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Select an account to get started.
The next screen shows your available albums. Albums are organized online via your chosen online photo service, so any albums you've created on Picasa Web Albums or Photobucket should be seen here.
Select an album and the photos will spread across the screen in an easy-to-read layout. From here you can either view photos one by one by pressing select or simply press "Play" to view the album as a slideshow. In either mode you can move forward or backward between photos by pressing the Channel Up or Down buttons. Return to album view at any time by pressing "Left".
Make your slideshows a work of art: PixelEyes gives you full control of your photo slideshows. Simply press enter while the slideshow is running and an options screen will appear. From here you can edit speed, repetition, and transition effects.
PixelEyes also allows you to search through other user's photos using the "Find Photos" option on the PixelEyes menu. From here you can choose to browse either Photobucket or Picasa Web Albums. Once you've selected a service, you can search by keyword or username. Any matches can then be viewed via album or slideshow mode.
Found some photos you really like? While viewing a collection of photos, simply press the "Record" button to bookmark it. You can quickly access these bookmarks again later by selecting the "Photo Bookmarks" option on the PixelEyes menu.
Want to try it out but don't have an online photo account yet? No worries! TiVo has supplied you with a wide variety of sample photos for you to play with. Simply scroll to Sample Photos and select from one of the three albums available for you: Photobucket's Selections, Picasa Web Albums, or Nikon: Legends Behind the Lens.
