Wordsmith
For all you Scrabble fans out there, Tivo presents Wordsmith: an exercise in wordplay for all ages!...
From TiVo Central, select "Music, Photos, & Showcases", then scroll to Wordsmith. This will start the Wordplay menu screen, to get right into the game select "Play".
You'll be presented with game board featuring 84 letter tiles with point values on them, but only the top row is playable. As you select letters, pulling them off the top row, the tiles below move up into a useable position. Move the selection box with your remotes directional pad and choose your letters by pressing "Select".
Word values are calculated as you build your word in the "Current Word" box in the upper left of the screen. A running score is kept in the "Total Score" box seen in the upper right. Scores are calculated as total points x length of word.
When you've completed your word, press "Thumbs Up" on your remote. If you make a mistake, press "Thumbs Down" to remove the last letter from your word. Press clear if you want to delete the whole word. Wordsmith will let you know when you've built a useable word by flashing the "Thumbs Up" icon next to the board.
Press "Play" at any time to start a new game.
Keep in mind that words must be at least three letters in length, and the dictionary in use is the extended Scrabble Dictionary.
